Penny has been drawing as long as she can remember. As a child, she loved books and always dreamed of creating her own illustrated books one day. She also was a constant doodler in school and out, whenever she had a pencil in her hand.

Originally from Maryland, Penny studied art in college in Ohio. She worked as a graphic artist for several years in Boston and then in Sacramento. Today she lives in Fair Oaks, California when she isn’t hiking in the Sierra or travelling here and there. The pencil and sketchbook travel with her!

Penny enjoys creating illustrations for all kinds of books and magazines, with children’s literature being her main interest.
